Ben C. Strickland - President
Ben Strickland began his career in the funeral industry in 1959. While still a student in high school, he began working part-time with Seymour Funeral Home. Ben graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1959. After graduating from Oak Ridge Military Institute in 1962, Ben attended Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating from there in 1963. He then came back to work with Seymour Funeral Home, where he is currently President and part owner of Seymour, Rouse and Tyndall Funeral Homes.
Ben is married to the former Diane Butts and they have four children, Pam Strickland Jessup and husband, David, Stacie Strickland, Ben Strickland Jr. and wife, Adrienne, and Cameron Strickland. Ben also has three grandchildren, Ally, Luke, and Delaney
Ben has always been active within the community, serving as Mayor of Goldsboro from 1973 - 1979. He is a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Goldsboro Kiwanis Club, Goldsboro Masonic Lodge #634, Wayne Shrine Club, Lane Tree Golf Club, Goldsboro Country Club, North Carolina Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, and the Family Y.
