Debra Jean Allen

Goldsboro – Debra Jean Allen, 47, beloved daughter of Gene and Hilda Allen passed away on Friday at her home.

Ms. Allen received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the Wesleyan College and was employed as a substance abuse counselor at DART Cherry.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. With inclement weather pending, the service may be moved to the mausoleum chapel of Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Donna Allen of Goldsboro and Kelly Smith and husband Allen of Goldsboro; and a special nephew, Jordan Smith of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of her parents, 181 W. Hill Street., Goldsboro
