Rachel Jones Allen

Rachel Jones Allen, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 16th. She was the daughter of the late Berry and Mattie Pearce Jones.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Patetown Church of God, where she was a member. Burial followed in the Patetown Cemetery. The Reverends Alton Childers and Donald Daniels officiated. Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Elcana (Buddy) Allen; daughters, Marie Jennette and husband, Kenneth, Pam Sutton and husband, Randy and Frances Tyndall and Esther Massey; sons, Gene Allen and wife, Joan and Larry Allen; 15 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; sisters, Allene Harris, Myrtle Holland, Vonnie Bailey, Hilda Gurley, Nellie Enciso, Linda Jones and Brenda Jones; and brothers, Elvin Jones and David Jones. She was preceded in death by a sister, Otena Quinn.
