C. Arthur Allred Goldsboro – C. Arthur Allred, 87, of 1703 E. Pine Street, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Greensboro, he was a retired vice president of T.A. Loving Company, having served 54 years. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, where he received the Silver Star, and 6 Bronze Stars. Mr. Allred was a member of the Goldsboro Golden K Kiwanis and was a graduate of Goldsboro High School.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Eugene Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be held in Willow Dale Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Brendle Bland Allred; daughters, Rachel Allred of Portsmouth, VA, Martha Bell and husband, Dennis of Goldsboro and Cherry Crumpler and husband, Ed of Harrisonburg, VA; and 5 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday at Seymour Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and other times at the residence.
