Lucy Epps Amerson

Lucy Epps Amerson, 77, a resident of Countryside Assisted Living, died Monday at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center. A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Geneva Love Epps and was married to the late Luby Guy Sasser and Alton Amerson.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home with the Reverend Sherwood Lassiter officiating. Burial followed in Pikeville Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sullivan and husband George; sons, L.G. Sasser and wife Gail, Guy Sasser and wife Dale and Eugene Sasser and wife Cathy; stepson, Ray Amerson and wife Jackie; sister, Maude Epps; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-grandchild.
