Bessie Evans Anderson

Mrs. Bessie Evans Anderson, 86, died Saturday at Cape Fear Hospital in Wilmington after a lingering illness.

She was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Martin L. Evans and Annie Minchew Evans and the widow of John Perry Anderson. She was a member of Hood Swamp Friends Meeting and was very active with the United Society of Friends Women. She held numerous duties in the Friends Meeting.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A. M. from Seymour Funeral Chapel with J. Waldo Smith officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by a sister, Mazie Evans Edmundson and her husband Walter of Fremont.

Her pre-deceased siblings were: Alice E. Sauls, Lillian E. Holsinger, Kathleen E. Daniels, Estelle E. Pittman, Martin Evans and Wright Evans.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 A. M. to 11 A. M. at Seymour Funeral Home.
