James Edward Barrow

Goldsboro – Mr. James Edward Barrow, 76, of 611 Ridge Drive, died Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

A native of Pitt County, he was the son of the late Turner A. Barrow and Nellie Jackson Barrow. Mr. Barrow was retired from the United States Army and had also retired from Sears.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Howard Seymour, Doug Seymour and Billy Britt presiding. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Wayne Memorial Park with Military Honors.

Mr. Barrow is survived by his wife, Iola Seymour Barrow; his sons, Dennis Barrow and his special friend Joy Dutton of Wilson, Albert Barrow and wife Kathy Smith Barrow of Grantham, Ronald S. Barrow and wife Kelly Fisher Barrow of Goldsboro, and James Barrow and wife Beth Naylor Barrow of LaGrange; his sister, Edith Smith of Fulton, NY; and his grandchildren, Crystal, Tracy, Leslie Ann, Jonathan, Jennifer, Brady, Allison, Jessica, and Brittany.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence.
