Mamie Susan Tillman Bartlett
 Pikeville – Mrs. Mamie Susan Tillman Bartlett, 97, died Thursday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Goldsboro.
A native of Greene County, she was the daughter of the late James Hardy Tillman and Emma Herring Tillman and was the widow of Milton L. Bartlett. Mrs. Bartlett was a member of Faro Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and attended Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 7 p.m. at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Freuler officiating. Interment will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Bartlett Family Cemetery in the Saulston Community.
Mrs. Bartlett is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Hines of LaGrange, Grace Rose and husband, Archie of Wilson, Audrey Fleming and husband, Robert of Goldsboro, Shirley Bedford and husband, J.A. of Goldsboro and Esther Rose Gardner of Pikeville; a son, Milton Paul Bartlett and wife, Joyce of Pikeville; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bartlett was preceded in death by a son, James William “Billy” Bartlett and sons-in-law, J.C. Gardner and William “Guy” Hines.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church, NC Hwy. 111 North, Goldsboro, NC 27530 or to Faro P.F.W.B. Church, 3616 Big Daddy’s Road, Fremont, NC 27830.
The family will receive friends following the service Sunday at Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church and other times at the home of Esther Gardner, 220 Bartlett Road, Pikeville.
