Gertrude Barnes Barwick

Goldsboro – Mrs. Gertrude Barnes Barwick, 83, of 211 Forest Circle, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Ruffin Barnes and Lillie Ricks Barnes and was the widow of Jesse Roland Barwick. Mrs. Barwick was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Buckhorn Cemetery in Kenly.

Mrs. Barwick is survived by her sister, Lillie Mae Renfrow of Kenly; and several nieces and nephews.

Among those who preceded her in death was a sister, Daisy Barnes Wiggs of Goldsboro.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. to the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
