Hazel Gardner Beamon

Goldsboro – Mrs. Hazel Gardner Beamon, 84, of 3543 US 117 North, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Gardner and Bettie Rowe Gardner and was the widow of Leland Beamon. Mrs. Beamon was a home-maker and attended Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Pikeville Cemetery.

Mrs. Beamon is survived by her sons, Lynn Beamon and wife Karen of Goldsboro and Sherwood Beamon and wife Mary Ann of Raleigh; and seven grandchildren, Taylor Beamon, Hillary Beamon, Jayna Beamon, Robbie Beamon, Jason Beamon, Stacy Beamon and Timothy Beamon.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Grover Gardner.

The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Lynn Beamon, 106 Hillview Lane, Goldsboro.
