Donnie Mae Bedford

Goldsboro – Mrs. Donnie Mae Sasser Bedford, 74, of 1137 Old Smithfield Road, died Friday at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation in Mount Olive.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Cotton officiating. Interment will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Bedford is survived by her husband, George C. Bedford; two daughters, Marshelle Bedford of Goldsboro and Jackie Hawley and husband Ray of Goldsboro; a son, Walt Bedford and wife Carolyn of Pikeville; two sisters, Ruby Best of Dunn and Louise Kremer of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Everett Jones and wife Suzanne of Goldsboro, Jeffrey Jones of Asheville, Brandi Butts and husband David of Goldsboro, Mandy Hutchinson and husband Brad of Goldsboro and Blake Gurganus; and her great-grandchildren, Braxton Jones, Braylee Butts and Katie Hutchinson; and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Rex Davis and wife Sherry of Grantham.

Mrs. Bedford was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Gaston Sasser and Lettie Ingram Sasser; her brother, Luby Guy Sasser and a sister, Aileen Whaley.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at 1141 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro.
