Margaret Ladd Betts

Goldsboro – Mrs. Margaret Ladd Betts, 77, died Saturday at Sunbridge Care of Mount Olive. She was born in Forsythe County on June 28, 1926 to the late Elisha Ladd and Elizabeth Parrish Ladd.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Al Wright officiating. A private interment will be Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Betts is survived by her husband, George Jacob Betts; her son, Kenny Betts and wife Patricia of Raleigh; her daughter, Karen Worrell and husband Steve of Goldsboro; her sisters, Beulah Worrell of Winston Salem and Wanda Eller and husband Bill of Winston Salem; her brothers, Spencer Ladd and wife Dot, Thurman Ladd and wife Pauline and Clay Ladd and wife Annie, all of Winston Salem; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Betts, Kristen Betts, Stephanie Worrell and Tyler Worrell.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service and other times at 1447 Mark Edwards Road, Goldsboro.
