Thomas Sandy Bizzell

– Mr. Thomas Sandy Bizzell, 72, of 961 N.C. Hwy 581 North, died
Thursday, January 22, 2004 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Sandy was born February 26, 1931 in Wayne County to the late Jesse
Waitus Bizzell and Pauline Anna Worley Bizzell. For those who knew
him in the Nahunta Community, he was the man who would wave at every
car that would pass by his home from his front porch. He will be
missed by many for much love went into every hand he would raise.
The love in Sandy’s life was God, his family, his pets and his front
porch family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pikes Crossroads
Pentecostal Holiness Church, of which he was a member, with Rev.
Timothy Creel and Rev. Tom Dorman officiating. Burial will follow in
Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Sandy is survived by his faithful wife of almost 52 years, Hazel
Peedin Bizzell; his daughter, Judy Stevens and husband Richard of
Goldsboro; his sons, Jerry Bizzell and wife Jane of Kenly and Jimmy
Bizzell and wife Cathy of Goldsboro; his sisters, Eva Armstrong and
husband Roger of Carrollton, VA, Louise Tedder of Bracey, Virginia,
Ann Tedder of Kenly and Faye Hill and husband Dwight of Princeton;
his brothers, J.W. Bizzell, Jr. and wife Edith of Micro, Rudolph
Bizzell and wife Jeannette of Selma and Ernie “Pete” Bizzell and
wife Louise of Kenly; and his grandchildren, Kevin Stevens and wife
Jennifer, Michael Stevens, Scott Bizzell, April Foulk and husband,
Mike, Jamie Smith and husband Harry, and Christa Bizzell; and five
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ivory Bizzell and Arnold
Bizzell.

The family will receive friends Friday at Seymour Funeral Home from
7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and other times at his home. |
