Dollie C. Bowen

Goldsboro – Miss Dollie C. Bowen, 75, formerly of the Meadows, died
Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Miss Bowen was born June 5, 1926 in Ayden to the late Charles
Lawrence and Maebelle Jolly Bowen of the Dudley community. She was a
member of Mays Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Stanley officiating. Burial will follow
in May’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Edith Gardner of Dudley, three
brothers, Earl Bowen and wife, Mae of Goldsboro, Thad Bowen and
wife, Mary of Dudley and Chester Bowen and wife, Norma of Pilot
Mountain; sisters-in-law, Alma Bowen of Dudley and Edna Bowen of
Ayden; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thelbert Bowen and C.L.
Bowen, Jr. and a sister, Violet Stepp.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to May’s Chapel Free
Will Baptist Church, % Barbara Lancaster, 118 Ridgecrest Drive,
Mount Olive, NC 28365.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at
Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Charles and
Terri Gardner, 253 US 13 South, Dudley, NC 28333.
