Lloyd Earl Boyette

Goldsboro – Mr. Lloyd Earl “Monk” Boyette, of 114 Lakeview Drive
died Monday at his home.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Daniel Boyette
and Effie Etheridge Boyette. Mr. Boyette was a member and of the
First Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as deacon and
Sunday School teacher. He worked as a paint contractor for over
fifty years. He was an avid fisherman, a loving husband and father
and a friend to everyone. Jesus was first in his life. Mr. Boyette
had also served as a Corp. Sgt. Major with the Salvation Army.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 PM at The First
Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jimmy Whitfield officiating.
Interment will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Boyette is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Kathryn
Sutton Boyette; his sons, Michael Todd Boyette and wife Patsy of
LaGrange and Daniel Edward Boyette and wife Wendy of Goldsboro; a
sister, Louise Boyette Smith of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Sue
Michelle Mitchell, Shannon Denise Boyette and Jennifer Caroline
Mooring; five great grandchildren, Jessica Paige Mitchell, Lauren
Denise Jernigan, Amber Shea Jernigan, Haleigh Elizabeth Mooring and
Christopher Blaney Mooring Jr. and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lloyd Boyette; four
sisters, Lillian B. Cottle, Mildred B. Watson, Peggy B. Mitchell and
Doral Marie B. Pittman and four brothers, Ralph Boyette, Fred
Boyette, James Edward Boyette and Horace Boyette.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to The First
Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro,
NC 27534 or Community Homecare & Hospice, 1201 Wayne Memorial Drive,
Goldsboro, NC 27530.
The family will receive friends following the service and other
times at his home.
