Arnhold Grant Carlson


Goldsboro– Mr. Arnhold Grant Carlson, 85, of 809 E. Holly Street, died Tuesday at the Brian Center of Goldsboro.

A native of Missouri, he was the son of the late Raymond G. Carlson and Mary Jo Arnhold Werner. Mr. Carlson was retired from R.J. Reynolds as Division Manager. He was a Shriner and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebecca and a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge #112 and the Scottish and York Rite Bodies. He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Memorial services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. James McChesney. Burial will be later in Pecatonica, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Fail Carlson; nephews, TJ Kriens of Marimac, Wisconsin, Gerald F. Palmer and wife, Kay of Blacksburg, Virginia; sons-in-law, Philip Littleton and wife, India of Virginia, Gerald Littleton and wife, Andy of Raleigh and Robert Littleton and wife, Rebecca of Raleigh; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family requests no flowers though memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association 3015 S. Memorial Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27533 or First Presbyterian Church 1101 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.

The family will receive friends Thursday 7-8:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
