Patty Gray Creech Carter

Goldsboro -- Mrs. Patty Gray Creech Carter, 73, of 405 Aspen Circle, died Friday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys Grady Creech. She was a graduate of Seven Springs High School and attended the Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, Tennessee where she met her late husband, the Rev. Kenneth Carter. Mrs. Carter was retired from the Halifax County School System as a teacher assistant. She was a member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 AM at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Springs Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Del Daniels and husband Danny of Goldsboro, Linda Rodwell and husband Bob of Raleigh and Patricia Carter of Goldsboro; a son, Kenneth Carter of Raleigh; sisters, Pauline Allen of Goldsboro and Tempie Hare of Grantham; and four grandchildren, Carter Daniels, Jeff Daniels, Tommy Rodwell and Matt Rodwell.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
