Alton Colie, Jr.

LaGrange – Alton Colie, Jr., 53, of 163 Malcolm Glenn Lane, died Monday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Rev. Alton Colie, Sr. and Marie Corbett Colie.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Don Sauls officiating. Burial will follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Shayne Colie and wife, Geneva of Snow Hill; his daughter, Suzanne C. Combs and husband, Scott of Snow Hill; his brother, Wendall Colie of Clinton; his sisters, Martha Ann Moore and husband, Doug of Snow Hill and Betty Glenn Walker of Snow Hill; his special friend, April Colie; his grandchildren, Brittany Colie, Kristen Colie and Colby Combs; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times of his sister, Martha Moore, 173 Oakdale Drive, LaGrange.
