Virginia Lee Hunt Conger

Goldsboro – Mrs. Virginia Lee Hunt Conger, 89, of formerly of 1400 E. Ninth Street, died Thursday at Cary Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Sanford, Mrs. Conger was the daughter of the late William Henry Hunt and Rebecca Hill Hunt and was married to the late Charles Gillingham Conger. Mrs. Conger was retired from Weil’s Department Store and was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Eugene Carpenter and Rev. Gloria Price presiding.

Mrs. Conger is survived by her sisters, Bernice Krick of Sanford and Helen Evans of San Francisco, CA; and four nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 200 N. James Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
