Hazel Simmons Cook

Goldsboro – Mrs. Hazel Simmons Cook, 79, of 394 Selah Church Road, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cook is survived by a daughter, Deloris Thompson of Atlanta, GA and Bonnie Gupton of Goldsboro; a son, Richard Hutchinson of Fort Worth, TX; a sister, Wyonna Brightley of Omaha, NE; brothers, Joe Simmons of San Francisco, CA and Wayne Daniels of Fort Worth, TX; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Bessie Johnson.

Memorials may be made to Falling Creek Baptist Church, 499 Falling Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
