Sadie Mae Hasings Coulter


Goldsboro – Mrs. Sadie Mae Hastings Coulter, 80, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Suffield, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Howard Hastings and Maude Richardson Hastings and was married to the late Lawrence Gillette Coulter. Mrs. Coulter was a member of the National Grange of Patrons of Husbandry.

The family will gather Monday, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home to receive family and friends. A service for the family will be held at a later date in Suffield, Conn.

Mrs. Coulter is survived by her daughters, Karen Davis and husband, Douglas of Goldsboro, Linda Gibbs and husband, Thomas of Bethel, Maine and Evelyn Wight and husband, Thomas of Agawam, Mass.; sisters, Mildred Feher of Richmond, Virginia and Hilda Lund of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a brother, Richard Hastings of Suffield, Conn.; eight grandchildren, Alexander Davis, Zachary Davis, Heather Gibbs, Tracey Gibbs, Jeremy Gibbs, Christina Wight, Lawrence Wight and Allyson Wight; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Sierra.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Coulter and a brother, Norman Hastings.
