Mary Hunter Cox

Goldsboro – Mrs. Mary Hunter Cox, 68, of 210 S. Douglas Street, died
Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas
Hunter and Dollie Mooring Hodges. Mrs. Cox was the chaplain
secretary for 13 years at the chapel of Seymour Johnson Air Force
Base. She also had worked with the O.S.I. - Office for Special
Investigations at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial
Cemetery with Rev. T. Rondy Ward officiating.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband, A. Raymond Cox; her children,
Michael Israel, Ray Cox, Eldon Cox, Lynne Diehl, Mimi Clark, Evy
Puzzo, and Larisa Deaver; her grandchildren, Michael Israel,
Jennifer Israel, John Israel, James Israel, Zachary Israel, Logan
Deaver, Jessica Mundell, Catherine Puzzo, Angela Puzzo, Amber Diehl
and Megan Diehl; her great-grandchild, Alexis Israel; her sister,
Arlene Lucas; her niece, Lori Hobbs and husband, Jimmie and their
children, Joshua Hobbs and Hunter Hobbs; grand-dog, Bailey Clark and
the family dog, Max.
Memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne
Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
