James Frederick Daughtry

Goldsboro - Mr. James Frederick Daughtry, 88, 234 S. Hillcrest Drive, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, Mr. Daughtry was the son of the late Emmett Hall Daughtry and Helen Ophelia Earp Daughtry and was married to the late Martha Horton Daughtry. Mr. Daughtry was retired from Dewey Brothers. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and Wayne Lodge #112.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery with Rev. Robert L. Bame officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday following the service.

Mr. Daughtry is survived by his brother, Richard F. Daughtry of Goldsboro; a sister, Eunice Grice of Goldsboro; several nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Peggy Langston, Jeanie Langston, Ella Spruill and Janet Lowry.

Mr. Daughtry was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy David Daughtry; a daughter, Barbara Jean Daughtry; and a brother, Emmett Elton Daughtry.
