Edward Davis

Edward Davis, 92, died Friday morning at his residence.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Joseph Patrick Davis and Stella Pike Davis and was married to the late Edna Woodard Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired mechanic with T.A. Loving Co. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Wayne Masonic Lodge #112 A.F.&A.M.

Graveside services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Pike Cemetery with the Reverend Doctor Fred Clarke officiating.

He is survived by his daughters, Agnes Smith and husband, Jerry of Goldsboro and Frances Tadlock and husband, Billy of Mount Olive; grandsons, Eddie Smith, Jeff Smith, Mark Tadlock and wife, Jeneen; and sisters, Josephine Pate of Goldsboro and Clara Lee Sasser of Goldsboro.
