Josephine Trotter Dawson

Goldsboro - Mrs. Josephine Trotter Dawson, 86, died Sunday at the Brian Center.

A native of Crofton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Fred Trotter and Elvira Jenkins Trotter and was married to the late Elvin Dawson. Mrs. Dawson was retired from Welborn Baptist Hospital with 25 years of service and was a member of the Bible Center in Evansville, Ind.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Bame officiating.

Mrs. Dawson is survived by her daughter, Betty Brown and husband, Joe of Goldsboro; grandsons, Steve Brown and Ben Brown, both of Raleigh; three sisters, Lucille Menser of Long Beach, CA, Opal Cansler of Dawson Springs, KY and Dorothy Parks of Albuquerque, NM and a brother, Denvil Trotter of Evansville, Ind.
