Dorothy McFatter Deans

Goldsboro – Mrs. Dorothy McFatter Deans, 73, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Molton McFatter and Katie Jones McFatter and was the widow of James Deans. Mrs. Deans was a member of the Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. R. N. Hood, Rev. Tim McFatter and Rev. Tim Creel will officiate. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Deans is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jay Ellenburg of Raleigh; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Becki Deans of Goldsboro; and her brothers, Ralph McFatter and James McFatter.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and also following the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of James and Frances McFatter, 102 Halston Drive, Pikeville.
