Mary Louise Rose Drew

Clayton – Mrs. Mary Louise Rose Drew, 77, formerly of Goldsboro, died Sunday at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.  

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Silas Lucas Rose and Bertha Ogburn Rose. Mrs. Drew was a former telephone operator for Griffin Answering Service and was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church in Goldsboro.   

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.  

Mrs. Drew is survived by her daughter, Karen Drew Church of Clayton; her sons, Raymond Edward Drew of Wyano, PA, Douglas Dwight Drew and wife, Patricia of Murphy and Thomas Kenton Drew of Snow Hill; a sister, Doris Rose Christian of Florida; four grandchildren, Beverly Anissa Church Wright, Marsha Church Sutjiono, Mark Thomas Drew and RaeAnn Drew; and two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Sutjiono and Elijah Sutjiono.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
