Mable Thompson Edgerton
 Pikeville – Mrs. Mable Thompson Edgerton, 74, of 548 Fields Road in the Nahunta Community, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late George Thompson and Sara Newsome Thompson. Mrs. Edgerton was a member of Nahunta Friends Meeting.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Spivey and Rev. Dale Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgerton Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Edgerton is survived by her husband, Ralph Eugene Edgerton; a son, Sonny Edgerton of Pikeville; a niece, Myrtle Summerlin of Goldsboro; a sister-in-law, Geneva Howell and husband, Henry of Emerald Isle and her brothers-in-law, James B. Edgerton and wife, Marilyn of Garner and E.H. Edgerton and wife, Shirley of Burleson, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred T. Swinson Anderson and Louise T. Ham.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1-2:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
