Katherine Sherwood Edmundson

Goldsboro – Katherine (Kathy) Sherwood Edmundson, 107 Princess Drive, died Monday following an extended illness. A native of Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Sherwood. She was a member of the Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Don Sauls officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.

Mrs. Edmundson is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Kenneth Ray Edmundson of Goldsboro. She was the beloved mother to her daughters, Rhonda Caviness Johnson and her husband, George of Raleigh, Debbie Peters and her husband, Jeff of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Cindy Caviness of Franklinton; to her son, Reid Durand Caviness and his wife, Kim of Goldsboro; and to her step son, Ken Edmundson, Jr. of Goldsboro. Mrs. Edmundson is also survived by her grandchildren, Shon Bauer, Connor and Katie Caviness, Christine and Tayor Edmundson and Megan Grimes; brothers, GK and Marion Sherwood of Mena, AK; and many other family members who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Charles, Recie, Elbert, Aubrey and Russell Sherwood.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence.
