Lorena Best Edwards
Goldsboro – Mrs. Lorena Best Edwards, 81, of 4600 Hwy. 70 East, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late T.F. Best and Mary Elizabeth Blackman Best. Mrs. Edwards had worked with J. P. Stevens Company and had retired from Americal. She was a member of Selah Christian Church and attended Casey’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Lamm officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackman Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her sons, Harold Edwards and wife, Pam of Goldsboro and Milo Edwards and wife, Sandra of Goldsboro; a sister, Lessie Aswell of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lillie Best, Viola Best, Annie Mozingo, Etta McDaniel and Azalee Best; and her brothers, Bill Best, Robert Best and Ralph Best.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Harold Edwards, 170 Wood Peck Road, Goldsboro.
