Fay Stevenson Ellis

Fremont – Fay Stevenson Ellis, better known as “Fay Jr.”, 59, of 303 Carolina Street, died this morning in her home.

A native of Beaufort, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Fay Marsh Stevenson. Fay, Jr. was a graduate of Pineland College. She was a member of Fremont United Methodist Church and the Annie-Best Circle.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at Fremont United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael J. Daniels and Rev. Martin Armstrong officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the funeral in the church fellowship hall. A private family burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie E. Daniels and husband, Rev. Michael Daniels, of Rogers, Arkansas; two sons, John Robert Ellis, II and Jack Louis Ellis both of Wilmington; a sister, Jean S. Warren and husband, Philip of Southampton, New Jersey; a brother, Robert L. “Bob” Stevenson, Jr. and wife, Susan of Austin, Texas; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Lauren Daniels and Matthew Aaron Daniels.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fremont United Methodist Church Building Fund, 106 N. Sycamore Street, Fremont, NC 27830.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
