Goldsboro – Mrs. Grace Mosser Evans,
96, of 240
Scott Street died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles
Mosser and Amanda Glass Mosser. Mrs. Evans was a member of Pinewood
Presbyterian Church.
"Amazing Grace", as her grandchildren call her, was
still making the most delicious homemade bread at the young age of
96.
Funeral services will be Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral
Home Chapel with Dr. Frank Day officiating. The family will receive
friends following the service until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Burdock
Funeral Home in Kitzmiller, Maryland. Burial will follow in the IOOF
Cemetery in Nethken Hill, West Virginia. She will be laid to rest
next to her husband Henry Gilbert Evans, who passed away in April
1961. The family will receive friends Wednesday at Burdock Funeral
Home from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Evans is survived by a daughter, Wilma Evans Markley of
Goldsboro; a son, Dale Henry Evans and wife, Frances of Fort Myers,
FL; a brother, Charles Cecil Mosser and wife, Eileen of Baltimore,
MD; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and five
great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinewood
Presbyterian Church, 2114 N. Berkeley Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
