Dorothy Edgerton Farmer
 Goldsboro – Mrs. Dorothy Edgerton Farmer, 92, of 321 Holland Hill Drive, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Anderson Edgerton and Mary Frazier Edgerton and was the wife of the late James Hooks Farmer. Mrs. Farmer was a member of Old St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
A Requiem Mass will be held Saturday at Old St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on the corner of William and Mulberry Streets at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Salem Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Farmer is survived by her children, James F. Farmer, Kenneth H. Farmer and wife Anne, Frances F. Keene and husband, Gareth, Charles Thomas Farmer and wife, Shirley and Donnie N. Farmer and wife Sheila, all of Goldsboro; her sisters, Mable E. Farmer of Goldsboro and Ruth Swearer of Maryland; twenty two grandchildren; thirty eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Clement Farmer; a daughter, Dorothy Jane Farmer; her brothers, Emmett Edgerton, Wendell Edgerton, Ben Edgerton and Paul Edgerton; and three sisters, Marie Smith, Elizabeth Edgerton and Margaret Best.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 215 E. Mulberry Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends following the service.
