Raymond Eugene Garris

Goldsboro – Raymond Eugene “Gene” Garris, 52, died at his home on Monday, March 3, 2008.

Gene was born in Wayne County on October 7, 1955 to Winston Durham Garris of Goldsboro and the late Pege Smith Davis. He owned and operated Gene Garris Homes of Goldsboro.

A service to celebrate the life of Gene will be held Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Rev. Dann Patrick will officiate.

In addition to his father, Gene is survived by his wife, Louise Santana Garris; his son, Winston Garris of Durham; his daughter, T.K. Garris of Charleston, SC; his sister, Debe Garris Carrere of Pikeville; and his brother, Robert Garris of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
