Ruby Lee Smith Garris

Goldsboro – Mrs. Ruby Lee Smith Garris, of 1912 N. Berkeley Blvd., died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was the owner and operator of Ruby’s Beauty Shop. Mrs. Garris was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. McGee Creech and Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Garris is survived by her husband, Winston Garris; her daughter, Bonnie Smith of Trenton; her son, Walter Smith of Viriginia; her sister, Ellen Mitchell of Goldsboro; her brother, Leon Smith of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two step-sons, Gene Garris and Robert Garris, both of Goldsboro; her step-daughter, Debe Carrere of Goldsboro; and a special niece, Sue Adams.

The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
