Raymond Russell Germain

Mr. Raymond Russell Germain, 79, of 205 S. Spence Avenue died Tuesday at Wake Medical Center.

A native of Worcester, Mass., he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Celeste Butler Germain. Mr. Germain was a retired superintendent with the New England Power Service Company with 44 years of service. He was a member of Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, where he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He also served on the church finance committee, and was an adult acolyte at the church. Mr. Germain served his country during World War II as an Army Veteran.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Friday at Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. presiding. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hagerty Germain; his daughters, Dawn Pavone of Gardner, Mass., Dian Germain of Worcester, Mass., and Dale Blondin of New Hampshire; his son, Dan Germain of Rutland, Mass.; his step-son, Mitchell Young of Hidden, TX; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Holly, and Rory Blondin, Christina Germain, Gia and Michael Pavone, and Lee Ann Young.

Mr. Germain was preceded in death by his step-son, Edward Young.

A wake service will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.
