Minnie Tally Gibson

Goldsboro – Mrs. Minnie Tally Gibson, 91, died Monday, November 17, 2003 after an extended illness.

A native of Coffee County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Sidney Tally and Katie Lee Sims Tally and was the widow of Walter Marion Gibson, Jr. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church.

A private family service was held today at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Kilby officiating. A private burial will be held in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jane Gibson of Damascus, MD; grandson, Dr. Michael Gibson and wife Julie of Baltimore, MD; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Gibson, a student at Dartmouth College; her great-grandchildren, Ruby Gibson and Everett Gibson of Baltimore, MD; her brothers, O.E. Tally of Homerville, GA, Dr. Spencer Tally of Blackshear, GA; and Ed Tally of Prescott, AZ, and her sisters, Mary Tally and Kate Vestal, both of McRae, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Walter Gerald Gibson.

The family requests no flowers and memorials to be made to Adamsville Baptist Church, 1302 N. Berkeley Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27534.
