Goldsboro – Mrs. Wilma Overton Godwin, 63, died
Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of
the late Lloyd Overton and Eula Raynor Overton and was married to
the late Armied Adolphus "Mickey" Godwin, Jr. Mrs. Godwin
was retired from Cooper Bussmann and was a member of Faith Free Will
Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m.
at Faith Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dann Patrick
officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Godwin is survived by her sons, Mike
Pendergraft and wife, Tracy of Goldsboro and Rickey Godwin and wife,
Cindy of Wilmington; daughters, Robin Edmondson and husband, Rob of
Wilson and Abby Kornegay and husband, Owen of Princeton;
grandchildren, Aaron Pendergraft, Austin Pendergraft, Tarrah
Mitchell and Daniel Kornegay; a brother, Charles Overton of Raleigh;
sisters, Jean Bedford of Goldsboro, Annette Vishino of South
Carolina and Arlene Smith of Goldsboro.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be
made to the Wayne Memorial Hospital Sixth Floor Nursing Staff,
Goldsboro, NC 27530 or to Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 1200 W.
Grantham Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9
p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
