Hilda Toler Gooding
 Goldsboro – Hilda Toler Gooding, 66, of 135 Vance Drive, passed away peacefully Saturday evening at her home with her family by her bedside after a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Raymond D. Toler and Florence Deans Toler. Mrs. Gooding was a faithful member of Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. She was the former office manager with Pate-Dawson Motor Company with 19 ˝ years of service and was also retired from the Wayne County Department of Social Services.
Homegoing services to celebrate Hilda’s life will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy D. Toler and Rev. Danny Freuler will officiate. Interment will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. Gooding is survived by her husband, Edward L. Gooding; her sons, Robert Gooding of Wilson and Billy C. Gooding and wife Teresa of Kenly; four grandchildren, Brad Gooding, Amy Gooding, Krystal Gooding and Tiffany Gooding; two sisters, Linda Lancaster of Goldsboro and LaRose Williford and husband Rayford of Raleigh; a brother, Rev. Billy D. Toler and wife, Bonnie of Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the residence.
