Elwood Lee Grant

Goldsboro – Mr. Elwood Lee Grant, 69, of 506 Ditchbank Road, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center after a lingering illness.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Norman Lee Grant and Tressie Holmes Grant. Mr. Grant was retired from New Hope Milling Company and was a member of New Hope Friends Meeting.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Garner and Wayne Allman officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Grant is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Boyette Grant; two sons, Danny Lee Grant, Sr. and wife, Debbie of Goldsboro and Terry Michael Grant and wife, Charlene of Fremont; grandchildren, Danny Lee Grant, Jr. and wife, Jessica, Kim Sanderson and husband, Chris, Preston Scott Grant and Crystal Lynne Grant; a great-grandson, Austin Lee Sanderson; his sister, Irma Morse of Goldsboro; his brother, J.B. Grant of Goldsboro; and a special friend, Daniel Griffin Price and his wife, Janet of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
