Harold June Grantham

Goldsboro
– Mr. Harold June Grantham, 84, of 4103 U.S. 13 South, died Sunday
at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late James Clarence
Grantham and Nannie Rose Grantham. For 48 years, Mr. Grantham owned
and operated Grantham Supply with his wife before retiring. He was
instrumental in organizing the Grantham Volunteer Fire Department
and was a member of Selah Christian Church and the Woodmen of the
World.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Patrick Muston officiating. Burial will follow in
the Grantham Family Cemetery.
Mr. Grantham is survived by his wife, Viola Barwick Grantham; his
son, James Harold “Jim” Grantham and his wife, Brenda Williams
Grantham of Goldsboro; his daughter, Cathy Grantham Jernigan and
husband, Craig Jernigan of Mount Olive; his grandchildren, James Ted
Grantham and wife Debbie, Beverly Grantham Anderson and husband
Mike, Angela Jernigan Dunekack and husband, Danny, and Chuck
Jernigan and wife Nickie; great-grandchildren, Garrett Barfield,
Whitney Grantham, Hannah Grantham, Katie Anderson, Allie Dunekack,
Tyler Dunekack and Sarah Anderson; his brothers, Robert Grantham of
Goldsboro and Donald Grantham of Raleigh; and his sisters, Rose G.
Rose of Goldsboro, Janet G. Pearson of Clinton and Joyce G. Lamb of
Ingold.
He was preceded in death by his son, Frank M. Grantham and his
sister, Sarah G. Johnson.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Selah Christian
Church, in care of Jean Hollowell, 3304 Stevens Mill Road Goldsboro,
NC 27530.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour
Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, 3062 Old
Grantham Road, Goldsboro.
