William Howard Green, Jr.

Goldsboro – Mr. William Howard “Bill” Green, Jr., 68,
of 2990 NC 111 North, died Sunday night at Wake Medical Center.
Mr. Green was born in Rockingham County to the late William Howard
Green, Sr. and Sue Clark Green. He was a graduate of Hickory High
School and was the first male graduate of the Licensed Practical
Nurse program at Wayne Community College where he later taught EMS
classes for a number of years. Mr. Green was a lifetime member of
the Goldsboro Rescue Squad retiring after 27 years of service. He
was retired from the Wayne Correction Center. Mr. Green was a member
of the Faith Sunday School class where he attended at Free Chapel
Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Free Chapel
Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Williams
officiating. Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Wayne Memorial
Park.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Cooke Green; a daughter, Dana
Green Radford of Pikeville; granddaughters, C. J. Radford and Brooke
Radford of Pikeville; a brother, John C. Green and wife, Marsha of
Rosewood; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Cooke Ingram of Goldsboro; a
special friend, Sophie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Allthough flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Free Chapel
PFWB Church, % Gerald Brown, 187 Vance Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service
and at other times at the residence.
