William Harold Gurley

Goldsboro – Mr. William Harold Gurley, 74, 387 Saulston Road, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late David E. Gurley, Sr. and Elizabeth Corbett Gurley. Mr. Gurley retired from Barry of Goldsboro in 1994 and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Grady officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Gurley is survived by his wife, Mavis Tingen Gurley; his daughter, Sadie Marie Gurley of Washington; his son, David Wayne Gurley and wife, Wanda Mitchell Gurley of Eureka; a grandson, David Travis Gurley; his brothers and sisters, Dixie Frazelle and husband, Carl of Richlands, Laura Jamison and husband, James of Goldsboro, Mary Hill of Goldsboro, Joanne Davis and husband, JC of Goldsboro, David E. Gurley, Jr. and wife, Jane of Tarboro and Teresa Mercer and husband Charles of Goldsboro.

He was preceded in death by a son, William H. Gurley, Jr.
