Willie Burgess Gurley

Goldsboro - Mr. Willie Burgess Gurley, 91 of 3706 Wayne Memorial Drive, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Jessie and Addie Smith Gurley and was married to the late Lou Ellen Hare Gurley. He was retired from Creech’s Furniture Store and was also a farmer.

Mr. Gurley was a member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 6 P. M. Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Grady and Rev. Harold Heath officiating. Internment will be 10 A. M. Monday at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Gurley is survived by his sons, Linwood Gregory Gurley and wife Jo of Goldsboro and Wayne Garland Gurley and wife Brenda of Grantham; grandchildren, Lisa G. Anderson and husband Tim, Denise G. Barley and husband John, Shannon G. Walker and husband Craig, Scott Gurley, Jonathan Gurley, and Crystal Gurley; great grandchildren, Amanda Barley and Cassidy Anderson

Mr. Gurley was preceded in death by his sons, Jesse William Gurley and Simon (Buddy) Gurley

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Greg and Jo Gurley, 100 Hillview Lane, Goldsboro, NC.
