Margaret Rhodes Hales

Goldsboro – Margaret Rhodes Hales, 90, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Fleming Co., Kentucky, she was daughter of the late Marion McIntyre Rhodes and Anna Liter Rhodes. Mrs. Hales was a retired teacher with the Goldsboro School System and served on the Neuse Council of Services on Aging. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Hales was also a member of the Delta-Kappa-Gamma Sorority.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Black Memorial Chapel at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. William Hufham officiating.
Mrs. Hales is survived by her sons, Marion Rhodes Hales and his wife, Judy of Washington, DC and David Dixon Hales and wife, Judie of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren, David Dixon hales, II of Dallas, TX and Anna Pollock Hales of Kissimmee, FL; and a sister-in-law, Annie Bruce Grant of Goldsboro.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
