Nancy McLeod Henderson
Goldsboro – Mrs. Nancy McLeod Henderson, of 600 S. Claiborne Street,
expired Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Lee County, she was the daughter of the late William
Howard McLeod and Nancy Wrencher McLeod. Mrs. Henderson was retired
from the dietary department of Cherry Hospital and was a member of
Cedar Grove Disciple Church.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Elm Grove Disciples of
Christ Church with Rev. Kenneth Vaughn and Rev. Charles Howard
officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by her husband, Jazell Henderson, Sr.;
daughters, Mrs. Tyrone (Sameria) Williams of St. Louis, MO, Mrs.
Larry (Olivia) Walls, Sr. of Goldsboro, Mrs. Antoinette Artis of
Goldsboro, Benita L. Henderson of Dudley; sons, Jazell (Willie)
Henderson of Goldsboro, Michael Henderson of Coatesville, PA, and
Terrell (Jackie) Henderson of Goldsboro; step-sons, Pastor Charles (Synora)
Howard of Goldsboro, Westley “Candy” Henderson of New York, NY and
Charles Boone of Connecticut; one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Whitaker of
Goldsboro; thirty-two grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a
very special family friend, Mrs. Mary Edwards of Dudley and a host
of family, friends and other relatives.
Condolences may be directed to the family at 600 S. Claiborne
Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Seymour
Funeral Home and other times at her home.
