Barbara Godwin Hill

Goldsboro – Mrs. Barbara Godwin Hill, 67, of 411 S. Cottonwood Drive, died Monday at her home.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Armied and Thelma Blackburn Godwin. She was a retired Registered Nurse and was the Director of Nursing at the Wayne County Health Department. Mrs. Hill was a member of First Christian Church where she was an elder and was actively involved in all aspects of the church.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at First Christian Church with Dr. Fred Clarke and Dr. Penny Ziemer officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived her husband, Herbert Hill, Jr.; a son, Rev. Tom Hill and wife Nan, of Wake Forest; a brother, Mike Godwin of Wilmington and three grandchildren, Lauren Hill, Brent Hill and Greyson Hill.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 1609 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
