William H. Hinnant, Jr.

Goldsboro – Mr. William H. “Bill” Hinnant, Jr., 25, of 3435 U.S. 13 North, died Friday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of William H. Hinnant, Sr. of Mount Olive and Joan Lancaster Hinnant of Goldsboro. Bill worked with Watson Electrical and was an avid softball player. He was a member of Saulston United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 7 p.m. at Saulston United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Ward officiating. Interment will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kim Atkins and husband Todd of Cary; his grandmother, Marie Lancaster of Goldsboro; and his aunt, Eula Gray of LaGrange.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John L. Lancaster and his paternal grandparents, Ezra and Bernice Hinnant.

The family will receive friends following the service on Sunday at the church and other times at the home of his grandmother, 3435 U.S. 13 North, Goldsboro.
