Gladys Pittman Hinnant

Goldsboro – Mrs. Gladys Pittman Hinnant, 75, 3048 US 117 North, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was married to the late William Bernice Hinnant. Mrs. Hinnant was a former sales associate with Weil’s and Brody’s and was a member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at Saturday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Alvin Keener officiating.

Mrs. Hinnant is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William Bernie Hinnant and wife, Teresa Stone-Hinnant of Goldsboro; a sister, Pete Bedford and husband, Guy of Goldsboro; a brother, Donnie Hugh Pittman and wife, Patricia of Williamston; and a granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Hinnant.

She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Claude and Gertie Pittman and her mother, Annie Elizabeth Sauls Pittman; a son, Gary C. Hinnant; sisters, Myrtle Goodman Raynor and Evelyn Barnes and a brother, William Claude Pittman, Jr.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials by be made to Edgewood Community Developmental School, 1601 Peachtree Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:30 PM at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at her residence after 5:00 PM.
