Eunice Cullipher Hinton

Goldsboro - Mrs. Eunice Cullipher Hinton, 85, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Bertie County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cullipher and Sophie Mizelle Cullipher and was married to the late Lucian Hinton. Mrs. Hinton was a retired school teacher, having taught for 31 years. She was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and the Goldsboro Woman’s Club .

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 from Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jean Hood, officiating. The burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Hinton Gurley of Tarboro; grandson, David E. (Trey) Gurley III and his wife, Georgia Tanner Gurley of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, David E. Gurley IV and Georgia Louise Gurley of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Madison Hinton; son-in-law, David E. Gurley, Jr.; brothers, George Cullipher, Winston Cullipher and Arnold Cullipher and her sister, Agnes C. Farless.
